Futility of War Period Post 9/11

“Captured near Jalalabad, this man was executed for collaborating with the government” (Arms Against Fury: Magnum Photographers in Afghanistan, ed. by Robert Dannin). To me he’s everyman who tries to find work to support his family during times of unrest. In this case it was for the Communist Russian led government that was toppled by the rebel Mujahidin. Now it is Mujahidin that are being executed for having collaborated with Taliban. It goes on and on and we all must swallow it.

Emerging from down below and lit from within is one of Leonard Nimoy’s photos in his book Shekhinah. The world becomes evil when this Creative Feminine Wisdom aspect of God is denigrated and demonized. She represents what is currently being relegated underground and what has the potential to bring healing and health to our planet if we can only see it.
